Thanks for visiting the Historical Society's web page. I have never claimed to be a web page designer, but sometimes you gotta take what you can get!

Anyhow, I'm proud to have a little part in the grand scheme of things. The Historical Society is one of the most active, and proactive organizations in town. They took a building that sat vacant for 20 years, and have filled it with everything that a "hometown" town hall should have. A slurry of activities, displays, and a lot of simple downhome hospitality. The NBHS has spent tens of thousands of dollars in the restoration of this historic structure.

What you don't see...
What you don't see is the amount of hard work & dedication these volunteers put into this cause. Here are a few examples-
All the windows in the basement have had HAND MADE storms fitted to them, to help with heating costs.

Volunteers have gone to local school auctions to purchase drapes. These drapes were then altered to fit the Town Hall windows and installed. This will also help with the heat costs, as well as protect the displays from UV light.

As a side note, I am especially grateful to this organization because as a Township Trustee, this has lifted a great financial burden from the Township. The NBHS has been having fundraiser's, party's, and socials, and have put 100% of the money right back into the building. All of these improvements have been done with no tax payer assistance. I personally look forward to working closely with this group as a Trustee, to continue the improvements to our history.

My hats off to you, guys!
